Ground displacement occurring over tailings dams and waste piles may indicate instabilities. SqueeSAR™ can measure displacement to millimeter accuracy and can be used to identify potential hazards that could lead to dam or slope failure.

Tailings Dams
SqueeSAR™ can be used to detect movement along containing walls and surrounding areas that may threaten structural integrity of the dam infrastructure. Regular acquisition of radar imagery allows engineers to determine if remedial action should be taken to prevent further structural damage or potential failure.

Waste Piles
Surface deformation maps provide an overview of displacements occurring on waste piles. SqueeSAR™ provides quantitative deformation data at high spatial resolution for mapping areas of instability that could lead to structural collapse of the waste pile.
